Giuseppe, Mr. & Mrs. Rabbit and me
that day...
On a hot thursday of
august, while visiting Manchester, Peppe and I went looking for The Mews,
Charlton Place, Ardwick Green, Manchester M12 6HS, and despite we never
thought we would just get to Ardwick Green, we quite easily found the
building we were looking for.
Twisted Nerve Records is on the upper floor of a flat; in its awesome, messy
entrance room we met Rob and Brian, to whom we asked the permission to
have a look around. The walls were covered by lps and posters, and there
really seemed to be not enough room on the floor for all those big boxes
full of cds and other stuff which were on it. Brian was on the floor too
:) He must be a big fan of Twisted Nerve, as he's got the bunny tattoed
on his arm. I told the guys I was an Italian fan involved in a web
project about a (Badly Drawn) Boy, and we took photos together (which
will soon be on the site), then Rob led us to a small room were all the
cool stuff stayed... it was amazing!!!
Delighted, we stepped out of that room and entered another one, where
Rob showed us the big clock (or whatever it is) of the front cover of
The Hour Of Bewilderbeast!
We then said goodbye to Rob and Brian and left Twisted Nerve Palace.
When we got to the railway station, we were still crying out loud
laughing.
Thank you Brian and Rob for being so nice and welcoming to us! I really
hope you'll read this! ;) |
